How many days before I leave should i get a bikini wax?

I am due to leave to hawaii on july 6th. I scheduled a brazilian bikini wax on july 5th. I have never got a wax before and am reading some other peoples comments saying its best a week before. I am scared!! what should i do? when is it best to get? thanks!
